Travel With Me to the Kingdom of Cambodia on a Photography Adventure.

Join me in September 2015 on a photographic journey in the Khmer Kingdom: beautiful Cambodia.  Travel to Siem Reap and visit mighty Angkor Wat at sunrise.  Explore 1000 year old temples such as Bayon, Preah Khan and the "Tomb Raider" temple of Ta Prohm.  Journey to the top of the holy Phnom Kulen mountain and see river-bed carvings and an amazing waterfall.  Motor down a river to a floating village, through a floating forest and out onto the flooded Tonle Sap lake.

Do all this on a seven day, six night, group tour that will be focused on taking cool, serious photography, Less serious or non-photographers are also welcome and will love it just as much.  I'll be journeying to Cambodia for my sixth time and this time I'd like to invite others along to experience this amazing place.  Throughout, I'll guide the group and share insights in how to get the best Cambodian experience, get the best photographs around Siem Reap, how to avoid the crowds and how to engage with the locals in wonderful, unforgettable ways.

Depending on the group's interests and enthusiasm, we can also spend some time in the evenings working together on post-processing of photographs on our computers.  I will share knowledge and insights on how to download, safeguard and process your images to get the very best results.

The price of this trip will be at cost plus 15% and I will be paying a full share.  The 15% markup will be fully donated to the Sala Baï Hotel and Restaurant Training School in Siem Reap.  This wonderful school trains 100 underprivileged Cambodian youths each year, preparing them to work in the hotel industry.  There is a bias towards young women since they tend to have less schooling and are more vulnerable.  The students receive the 12-month training absolutely free; it is funded by corporate and NGO donations and fundraising, by staying at the school and dining in their training restaurant.  The entire markup from this proposed photography trip will fund 3 months of one student's tuition. Check out www.salabai.com for more information.
